Ingredients

  • Greek yogurt: provides protein and helps thicken the overnight oats. I used plain nonfat.
  • Milk: the liquid for oats and chia seeds to absorb and adds protein and calcium. I used 1% dairy milk. Other milks can also be used.
  • Maple syrup: for sweetness and flavor.
  • Vanilla extract: adds flavor.
  • Cinnamon: more flavor.
  • Oats: the carb source that also provide fiber and protein.
  • Chia seeds: high in omega-3 fats and fiber, plus adds protein.
  • Apples: adds a crunch and some fiber.

How to Make Apple Cinnamon Overnight Oats

In a mason jar (or other container that is around 12 to 16 ounces), add Greek yogurt, milk, maple syrup, vanilla, and cinnamon. Stir to combine.

Add oats and chia seeds. Stir so that the oats and chia seeds are covered. Top with chopped apples. Refrigerate overnight or at least 4 hours.
