Dill Tuna Pasta Salad high in protein and fiber

Why You’ll Love Dill Tuna Pasta Salad

When the weather warms up, I love a tuna pasta salad for lunch. This Dill Tuna Pasta Salad is high in protein and fiber to keep you full and satisfied. It is filled with green vegetables for a nutrient-packed meal.

Protein pasta, tuna, peas, and a creamy Greek yogurt dressing make it high in protein with 37.5 grams per serving. The protein pasta, peas, cucumber, and spinach also make it high in fiber with 10 grams per serving.

Ingredients

Pasta Salad

  • Protein Pasta: I used Brami Protein Pasta for the first time and loved it! It’s made from a mixture of semolina durum wheat (the wheat used for regular pasta) and lupini beans. There are 12 grams of protein and 5 grams fiber per serving. Any higher protein pasta can be used and you’ll get close to the same nutrition content.
  • Canned tuna: easy protein source. I used Trader Joe’s Solid White Albacore Tuna, no salt added. Each can provides 29 grams of protein, and I used two cans in the recipe.
  • Frozen Peas: high in protein and fiber.
  • Cucumber: adds a crunch and high in vitamin K.
  • Spinach: provides folate, iron, and vitamins A and K.
  • Dill weed: an herb to add freshness.

Creamy Dressing

  • Greek yogurt: high protein base for dressing. I used non-fat since I add olive oil. Any fat content can be used.
  • Olive oil: adds healthy fats and flavor.
  • Lemon juice: for fresh flavor and thins out the thickness of the Greek yogurt.
  • Dijon mustard: adds flavor.
  • Garlic powder: more flavor.
