Ingredients

  • Avocado: adds creaminess, healthy fats, and fiber!
  • Greek yogurt: my favorite alternative to the traditional mayonnaise-based chicken salad. Greek yogurt is high in protein and contains calcium.
  • Basil: adds flavor and antioxidants.
  • Dill: adds flavor.
  • Lemon juice: liquid to smooth out the green goddess dressing and adds flavor.
  • Olive oil: healthy fats and flavor.
  • Garlic: provides antioxidants and flavor.
  • Salt & pepper: add per your taste preference.
  • Chicken: the protein source. There are several options to get cooked chicken easily, including making shredded chicken in an instant pot or crockpot, using rotisserie chicken, or my go-to canned chicken.
  • Cucumber: adds a crunch to the chicken salad and keeps it green. You can also use red onion.
