How to Make High Protein Banana Bread Mug Cake

Use a bowl to have adequate space to mix the ingredients. If you have a large mug, then you could try to mix it in that. First, mash the banana. Add the milk, vanilla, and peanut butter. Stir until combined.

Add protein powder, baking powder, and cinnamon. Stir to combine all ingredients. Either use a mug or ramekin that is at least 12 ounces in size. Spray with oil. Pour in batter. Top with 1 tsp. of chocolate chips (or more if you’d like). These will end up in the middle of the mug cake after microwaving.

Microwave for about 1 minute and 45 seconds. Watch carefully as batter will rise. Be prepared stop the microwave to prevent it from overflowing. Let the batter settle and then press start to resume time. This will likely need to be done a few times.

Top with the remaining 1 tsp. chocolate chips (or as many as you’d like). Let it cool for a few minutes before enjoying.
