Enjoy the classic flavor of spinach artichoke dip using Greek yogurt and cottage cheese on top of chicken breasts in this Healthy Spinach Artichoke Chicken Bake for a healthy, high protein meal version.

Why You’ll Love Healthy Spinach Artichoke Chicken Bake
Healthy Spinach Artichoke Chicken Bake turns the classic cheesy dip into a high protein meal with irresistible flavor! Instead of the traditional high saturated fat-based dip, this meal uses cottage cheese and Greek yogurt to provide creaminess with protein.
One serving provides 48 grams of protein making it easy to reach your daily protein goal while enjoying this meal. In addition to protein, this meal prep is full of nutrients from artichoke hearts, spinach, garlic, and parmesan cheese.
This recipe is simple to prepare and ready in 35 minutes!

Ingredients
- Chicken breasts: the main protein source.
- Cottage cheese and Greek yogurt: the high protein creamy base. I used nonfat Greek yogurt and 2% fat cottage cheese. Any fat amount can be used. Higher fat content will make it creamier.
- Artichoke hearts: high in fiber and folate.
- Spinach: plant-based source of iron and provides fiber.
- Garlic: adds flavor and is a good source of vitamin B6, vitamin C, and selenium.
- Italian seasoning and black pepper: adds flavor.
- Parmesan cheese: good source of calcium, adds fiber, and delicious cheesiness!
How to Make Healthy Spinach Artichoke Chicken Bake
Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease 9×13-inch baking pan. Cut chicken into four 4-ounce pieces. Use meat tenderizer to make each piece of chicken the same thickness. Place chicken in greased baking pan in a single layer. Set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, add cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, artichoke hearts, spinach, garlic, Italian seasoning, and black pepper.

Evenly spread mixture over chicken breasts.

Top with Parmesan cheese.

Bake for 20-25 minutes or until internal temperature of chicken reaches 165°F (or follow this temperature and time guide to prevent dry chicken).

What to Pair with Healthy Spinach Artichoke Chicken Bake
Healthy Spinach Artichoke Chicken Bake provides the protein, vegetables, and fat to your meal. Pair it with a carb side to make it filling, balanced meal.
Pair it with:
- Roasted potatoes
- Pasta, regular or a high protein and fiber pasta. My new favorite brand is Explore Cuisine
- Rice
- Quinoa
How to Store
Store in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 4 days. Cottage cheese and Greek yogurt sauces don’t freeze well.
Tips
- Cottage cheese can be blended for a creamier sauce.
- Recipe will also taste great just using Greek yogurt. I like the flavor that cottage cheese adds, but you can replace the 1 cup cottage cheese with a second cup of Greek yogurt.
- Liquid may accumulate in the pan from the chicken and artichokes. Carefully drain liquid into the sink or use a slotted spoon to remove chicken from pan.
